TL DR: my priority list includes Zeus, Alcatraz, Cape, St Mark, Innovation Tower, Lighthouse, Monte, Arc.Even though I have been playing Forge of Empires for a few months now, I'm still quite a newbie. Space Needle looks cool, but that's all it offers. You can keep a Colloseum at early stages to get those medals for expansions. Now the ones to avoid: Notre Dame, Space Needle, Colloseum, and Lotus are the worst GBs in the game, Notre Dame being the worst. Others give unique bonuses like plunder boost, GB participation boost etc. Deal Castle is way better than Basil in that sense.
Lighthouse is a small and efficient GB (Babel is also small and can be kept).ĭefence bonuses are also nice. That may have to change later, but so far (Postmodern) I'm good. I'm playing without a single house in my city. I have all population GBs and have no regrets. As you advance in ages, you'll need more. Inno Tower is the best among those as it gives FPs. Temple of Relic is very useful if you participate in guild expedition. Not very efficient at early levels, better top it up to level 10 asap. Hagia is very good as it gives FPs and happiness. Yet if you're not in a guild or ignore GvG/Expedition entirely, Atomium becomes irrelevant. Any GB that donates goods into guild treasury gives you ranking points for those donations. Ignore happiness GBs except one or two (in addition to Alcatraz, that is). Goods buildings are very nice in general, but many give you goods and choose wisely here. Solves your coin problem once and for all, AND gives you goods. You'll want anything that gives FPs, no question there.
I wouldn't bother levelling those 2 above 10, though (unless you have more FPs than you need and no other GB). Zeus and Aachen are also good as they are easy to level. Monte is the best here as it gives Forge Points alongside attack bonus. Endless flow of free troops tops anything in the game.
